TES Compliance has been awarded a 3-year contract to deliver fixed wire testing and thermal imaging inspections at the Makita production facility in Telford — one of the brand’s key manufacturing sites in the UK. The award of a long-term contract of this nature is a strong reflection of the trust Makita has placed in TES Compliance to manage and maintain the electrical compliance of its production facility over an extended period. Fixed wire testing within a live manufacturing environment presents its own unique set of challenges, requiring careful scheduling and coordination to ensure all testing is carried out thoroughly without impacting the facility’s production output or operational continuity.
Alongside the fixed wire testing programme, TES Compliance will carry out regular thermal imaging inspections of the electrical installation across the site. Thermal imaging is a particularly valuable tool within a production facility environment, enabling engineers to identify potential hotspots, loose connections, or areas of concern within the electrical infrastructure before they develop into more serious faults or failures. The combination of fixed wire testing and thermal imaging provides Makita with a comprehensive and proactive approach to electrical compliance, ensuring the facility remains safe, fully operational, and compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements throughout the duration of the contract. This project further demonstrates TES Compliance’s capability to deliver long-term, multi-discipline compliance programmes across complex industrial environments.
